From Events to Outfits It's All About the Feeling
You ever get invited to a themed event and suddenly it feels like your whole creative side kicks in? That was me the second I saw pink-themed birthday celebration on the invite. I didn’t even hesitate. I love a good theme and I especially love a chance to show up looking like I understood the mood without doing too much.
I started visualizing something soft, something feminine, something that felt like elegance wrapped in ease. That’s how I landed on this look. A pink tweed blazer layered over a blush pleated skirt. Simple, beautiful, and so me. I felt ready without feeling overdone. Put together but not pressed. The outfit had just enough polish and just enough softness and I loved that balance.
Do you ever put something on and feel like it shifts your whole energy? Like you don’t have to say a word, your presence is already speaking? That’s what this look gave me. It wasn’t just about wearing pink. It was about showing up feeling like I belonged in that moment. And when I think about what I wore that day I don’t just think about the clothes.I think about how I felt in them. That’s where the real beauty is.

From Events to Outfits It's All About the Feeling
The way I styled this outfit is the same way I style a space. I think in textures, tones, flow, and feeling. That pink tweed gave structure. The soft pleated skirt gave movement. The overall look gave quiet confidence. And that’s exactly how I want my clients to feel when they walk into a room I’ve styled.
Whether I’m choosing candles for a birthday table or figuring out what shoes to pair with a look I move with the same kind of intention. What do I want people to feel here? What story are we telling? What’s the energy of this moment?
Do you ever walk into a room and it just feels right? Like the lighting is soft the colors are warm the music fits and even the scent in the air feels like it was picked just for you? That’s the magic I try to bring into every setup I create and that’s the exact magic I felt when I wore this look. It didn’t have to be loud. It was just right.
When you approach fashion the same way you approach life with care with heart and with purpose it shows. Whether it’s a well-set table or a well-planned outfit those details leave an impression. Just like this look, this moment on the table tells a story without saying too much.
Would You Wear This Look to an Event?
Now be honest. Would you wear this to a pink-themed event? Because I’d do it again without blinking. This look made me feel soft but strong polished but not perfect and very much like myself. And isn’t that the goal?
I kept it clean with minimal accessories but you could easily remix it your way. Throw on a gold belt swap the skirt for tailored trousers or add pearls and a low bun for a more elevated spin. You could even rock this blazer over a fitted dress or with sneakers for a casual chic vibe.
How do you like to show up to events? Are you the one that blends in quietly or the one that turns heads the moment you walk in? Or maybe you’re somewhere in the middle like me. Intentional stylish and always giving just enough. However you choose to dress make sure you feel like you in the process. That’s what brings it to life.
For me this look wasn’t just an outfit. It was a reflection of how I like to move through life and business. With elegance. With care. And always with a little softness.
Let me know in the comments or message me. How would you wear it? What’s your go-to vibe when a theme is involved? Do you like to go all in or do your own thing with a twist? I’d love to hear your spin on it.
