The Days That Break You Can Also Build You

Some days feel heavier than others. The kind of heavy you can’t explain. The kind where the world keeps moving but your heart feels like it’s been quietly torn open  and no one even noticed. Those are the days that try to break you.

But here’s what I’ve learned… those same days? The ones that leave you crying in silence, questioning your purpose, or wondering if God even hears you, they’re also the days that build you.

Not all growth feels inspiring. Sometimes growth looks like getting out of bed when you’re grieving. Sometimes it’s praying when you don’t hear anything back. Sometimes it’s just showing up  even when your soul is aching.

That kind of faith? The kind that keeps walking when it would be easier to shut down, that’s the kind that transforms you from the inside out.

I’ve had moments where I felt like everything was slipping. The emotions, the expectations, the constant need to be strong… it becomes too much. And in those moments, I’ve had to remind myself: God isn’t just near when everything feels good. He’s closest when we’re undone. He’s quiet sometimes, but never absent.

If you’ve been holding pain that no one sees, or carrying weight that’s hard to explain, let this be your reminder, you are not alone. You are not weak. You are not invisible. You are being built up, even in your breaking.

You’re not behind, you’re not broken,
You’re being remade with purpose.
